The ACLU of Wyoming needs your help to defeat House Joint Resolution HJ0007: Resolution-conscience rights. The bill will need a two-thirds vote to be introduced, and the vote could occur any day this week!
We need e-mails and calls to Wyoming Representatives urging them to "VOTE NO ON HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 07." (This resolution would put the Wyoming Legislature on record as opposing health insurance coverage of contraception and sterilization.)
Locate your Wyoming House Representative, and ask them to vote no on HJ07.
Other ways to contact your legislators:
• Call the Voter Hotline at 866-996-8683 and tell the operator/receptionist that you want a "NO vote on House Joint Resolution 07". (The Hotline is usually staffed 7:30 A.M.-5:30 P.M.)
• Use the Online Hotline to urge a NO vote on House Joint Resolution 07. (You may also type in a short message.)

The ACLU of Wyoming opposes House Joint Resolution 07 for many reasons, including the following:
• Contraception saves lives, helps prevent unintended pregnancies, improves the outcomes for children, and reduces the need for abortion.
• The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' rule that is the subject of this resolution already strikes a careful balance between protecting women's health and religious liberty, by including a refusal provision for churches/houses of worship allowing them to refuse to provide birth control for their employees.
Thank you for helping us defeat this unnecessary and harmful resolution.
